STARBASE Summer Programs


For students entering 6th-8th grades.

Ag STEM Academy May 31 June 3 9:00 am 3:00 pm $125

Join us on a four day adventure in agriculture STEM. This academy will help students

build a sustainable world for future generations, where knowing the source of food is

common knowledge and being connected to nature and what it can provide is common practice


Robotics I Academy: June 6 10 9:00 am 3:00 pm $175

Allows the students to gain skills and confidence through creating, exploring,

and problem-solving using the Lego EV3 Robotic Kit. The students will

program, collect data, and complete specific challenges using the EV3 robot.

Robotics II Academy: June 6 10 9:00 am 3:00 pm $175

This academy will build on current knowledge that students have of the Lego EV3 Robot.

This academy is designed for students who have attended either a past STARBASE robotics

program or are a member of a FIRST Lego Robotics Team.

STEMpowered Girl’s: June 13 17 9:00 am 3:00 pm $140

Allows rising 6th 8th grade girls to experience a variety of hands-on challenges that

will establish a STEM mindset to EMPOWER their future. This academy

involves 3D modeling using state of the art computer aided design (CAD) software and 3D printing.


STARBASE ROBINS 3D Teacher Academy: June 20th – June 24th 8:30 am – 3:30 pm $75

With the growing popularity of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D printing,

STARBASE ROBINS has created a Summer Teacher’s Academy for the

purpose of providing training in these areas. Participants will be introduced to

the Engineering Design Process, CAD (3D modelling) using the Creo software, and

3D printing. Participants will learn how to introduce projects for 3D printing within their

classrooms. There will be Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)

lessons for teacher’s to embrace and take with them.
